June 2010 – North to Alaska.
Raina, Sarah and Nathan’s decided to go on an adventure. North. To Alaska. We wanted to see Alaska and tried to plan a trip to various places. But it was proven difficult to organise it. The ferry looked great but would mean carting luggage around at every stop.
Looked like the only feasible way to do it was on a cruise ship. We know we would hate cruising but it was the only way to do it. After research we decided that Royal Caribbean on Radiance of the Seas would be a match. Not too huge, but with a younger crowd. So off we went.
But first an overnight stop in Sydney for an early morning flight. It was sad paying a large amount to stay in a ‘not fancy’ hotel at the airport. Our sleep was rudely interrupted by a midnight fire alarm and evacuation.
Next morning, 15th June, we had a fun time in the Qantas Club then took off for Narita, Japan.
Raina travelled business class and was indeed happy. French Champagne is lovely!
